Oct 21 Hi Everyone,   This week there was more service.  All week we helped out people by moving their trees and picking up logs.  My poison Ivy is almost completely gone which is nice but I am really tired today lol.   On Sunday,  we had a big sacrament meeting with a bunch of people.  We think there were around 600 people.  It was at 7:30 am and right after we went and worked.  People even came from North Carolina.  It was great to see all the people willing to help.  The church sent chain saws to help with the cleanup.  In one of my pictures, we are standing in front of their truck.     We were told that next week we are only allowed about 3 hours a day to serve so that means it's finally going back to normal.  It has been fun helping out but we have both been super tired.   It's going to be nice to start teaching some people again.  We have been able to increase our relationship ...

Oct 14 Hi Everyone, This week was crazy.  I got poison ivy all over my arms and face.  I had to go to the ER because my eye was almost swollen shut.  They put me on some steroids and have recovered.  The best part is because I got some on my face I haven't shaved all week.  There are tender mercies in our trials.   I have to shave tomorrow so I will have to say goodbye to the beard.  I am completely recovered now and was still able to help out the community the last couple days.   A great thing that happened this week was that Dan the Man from my last area got baptized.   I was able to hop on a messenger call to see him and it was great. He had to wait 8 months but he says the wait was worth it.  It was pretty cool and I was hyped for him. He told me his next stop is the temple.     The service we have been able to do has been so cool. We went to one road to help with some downed trees an...

October 7 Hi Everyone,   This week was a really interesting one.  We did not do any normal missionary work.  All we did was help people out in the community.  It was cool but we had a lot of good stuff planned and a lot of people to visit but that will have to wait.  It was very interesting trying to get adjusted to not doing missionary work.  I feel like I am doing something wrong because we didn't have a lesson all week.  But President Hamblin came and talked to us about how we are still doing the Lord's work by helping out the community.  IDK I just wanna keep teaching people.     My district and I walked around neighborhoods and asked people if they needed help.   It was great to see the connection people had with us.  They were so grateful.  Normally they are not as happy to see us.  It has been cool getting to meet people that would generally be more closed off if we were in a norma...
