Merry Christmas!

Dec 26 Merry Christmas everyone!!!   It doesn't feel like Christmas out here because it is 60+ degrees everyday but the weather is really nice and it is nice being in the sun at all times.  The more I'm in Statesboro the more cool things I find.  We are starting to find people that we consistently see so that is really cool.  I'm really feeling like I have a groove down now.     We see the most pretty houses with so much land around them and they seem like great places to live.  We had food from this place called Wing maxx and the wings were so delicious.  We had a Half mission conference and the talent show was super fun.  I got to meet so many cool people.  We also went and got food after the conference in Charleston SC with my whole district which was super fun and I'll leave a picture of that.    On the day before Christmas Eve we caroled to a bunch of people and everyone really liked it....

December 18

Dec 18 This week has been very eventful.  We have had a lot of missionary meals and meetings.  So it is now feeling like I know people in the ward and on my mission.  I have met a lot of cool people in the ward and I feel more comfortable with missionary work.  We had one day where only one door didn't answer us and the rest of the people let us in so that was really fun.    We did some service where we made a bunch of sandwiches for people that can't afford lunch.  It was cool cause we did it with the Presbyterian  Church and we got to meet the Pastor.     I have never seen Spanish moss before and we went to a house surrounded by it.   I went to touch it and my comp said "Don't touch that".  I guess there are a lot of chiggers in the moss and so it's good I didn't touch it.    It rained a lot here.  I had to drive on a dirt road and I was stressing that we would slide into a ditch.  I got pretty close ...

Statesboro, Georgia

Dec 11, 2023 What's up everybody? I made it to the mission field.   with President and Sister Hamblin My trainer, Elder Larsen I actually was only in South Carolina for about 20 hours and then we went down to Statesboro, Georgia.  The first night I spent in South Carolina, I was able to sleep in a hotel and it was the nicest bed and I was so comfortable.  The next day I met my trainer, Elder Larsen, and then we drove 2 hours 30 minutes to get to our apartment in Georgia.  My trainer was in a car accident so I get to drive.  I like it though because it helps me get a better feel for the area.  Statesboro is a typical southern town and is right by Georgia Southern University. I have never seen cotton fields before and they are everywhere.  We pulled over to the side of one of the fields and I picked some cotton from the field and removed all the seeds.  It is a really cool place.  There are swamps and on Saturday it was 70 degree...

MTC Drop off November 21, 2023 MTC December 4, 2023  What's up everyone? I have one more full day in the MTC.  It has been a wild beginning.  I was selected to be the District leader and have been slammed dealing with all that.  My District is pretty chill though and we have been getting along the entire time. A lot of them were home sick in the beginning.   So the first week of my district leader duties, I just tried to help them get over that.   Everyone did and are now ready to go out into the mission field.  We have been playing a lot of basketball on pdays. The first day I dunked on my companion and almost got kicked out of the gym.  On Thanksgiving, Elder Rasband spoke to us all and it was really cool.  It has been a great experience and I can't believe it's already over.
