Dec 18

This week has been very eventful.  We have had a lot of missionary meals and meetings.  So it is now feeling like I know people in the ward and on my mission.  I have met a lot of cool people in the ward and I feel more comfortable with missionary work.  We had one day where only one door didn't answer us and the rest of the people let us in so that was really fun.

We did some service where we made a bunch of sandwiches for people that can't afford lunch.  It was cool cause we did it with the Presbyterian  Church and we got to meet the Pastor.

I have never seen Spanish moss before and we went to a house surrounded by it.   I went to touch it and my comp said "Don't touch that".  I guess there are a lot of chiggers in the moss and so it's good I didn't touch it.

It rained a lot here.  I had to drive on a dirt road and I was stressing that we would slide into a ditch.  I got pretty close and could barely control the car sometimes.   It would slip and slide all over the place.

We met a really cool family this week.  There was an RV park and we couldn't find their RV and we almost gave up. We finally found it and knocked on the door.  The people there hadn't seen the missionaries in a couple months and were feeling abandoned.  They had just been baptized and then never saw the missionaries again.  She said she was praying for someone to come and talk to them and help them get to church again.  Two hours later me and my companion knocked on her door.  It's really cool to feel like you are an answer to someone's prayers.  They came to the ward Christmas party and then church right after too.

It doesn't feel like Christmas out here cause it is in the 60s but I'm excited for it anyway.  It has been a fun week and I am excited for more adventures and stories.
