This week was a really fun week.  Exchanges were great.  I spent the day with Elder Clements.  We drove around Statesboro and when we drove by the GSU stadium we saw that a gate was open.   So we walked in and took a picture,  in the stands by the field, and then quickly left.  We then drove all the way out to Metter for visits.  Metter is an even smaller town than Statesboro.  It's mostly fields and abandoned houses.  We then of course ended the exchanges with 80 wings from Wing Maxx.

We also had the "Roadshow" which was not what I thought it would be.  It was just the AP's came down and changed some things but it wasn't like a show.   It was an hour and 10 minutes away from my apartment so it was an annoying drive.  We did get to play knock out after.   While it was fun, it just didn't live up to the name or what I expected.

We did teach a lot of people and I have really learned the importance of just checking in on people.  We had another lesson with the Mcollisters and their 10 year old daughter.  The reason we are teaching them is because we went over to introduce ourselves.  We also are starting to teach another part-member family and all we did was show up.  A lot of people are just waiting for an invitation, we just need to show up!

This is my last week with my trainer.  I will find out later this week if I stay in Statesboro or transfer to another area.

Just adding a story J told us on the phone .. he and his companion were doing some service helping a man named Ron.  They were clearing out some trees in his yard.  Ron pulled up on a lawn mower and said “c’mere boy” to J.  J started following him away from his companion to another, more secluded area. They passed by an abandoned car and an abandoned shack.  J has watched too many true crime shows and started to get worried Ron was going to kill him out in the fields. But, then he thought, I could take this guy out.  Ron is like 90 years old and pretty frail.
