Hi Everyone,


This week was a fun one! There was a tropical storm that went through the rest of South Carolina but didn't really hit us. I thought we'd just have a normal week since we are so inland but Tuesday night our mission president called us.  He asked if he could attend either a lesson or a district meeting. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any lessons scheduled, but we did have our weekly district meeting the following morning. So President joined our meeting. I was leading the meeting and also guiding a discussion. I was nervous, but I think everything went really well. 

 






We are still teaching the people from NY and they just got a 10 week old puppy. We had a great lesson with them.




 

It was an interesting Sunday.  When we arrived at church, there were a couple people outside the chapel with pamphlets trying to talk to people.  They came from a Baptist church and were "concerned" for us.   My companion and I talked to them for quite awhile.  I tried to just find out more about them whenever they tried to talk about our "incorrect" doctrine.  They were actually really nice and respectful. I invited myself to their church next Sunday so they might think they have converted me. 



 

This week is transfers so anything can happen. I was not expecting to get moved last transfer and here we are so we'll see what happens next week!

Nov 11 Hi Everyone! This week I got transferred to Evans Georgia! I am excited to be back in Georgia! I am about an hour and 30 minutes north of Statesboro.  I actually cover 2 wards here and that is interesting.  I get to go to 2 sacrament meetings.   I am also in a Trio which is random but cool.  I am comps with Elder Copier from Cali and Elder Monua from Lehi Utah.  They have both been out for only 3 monthsl.  It is a really nice area and the members here seem nice.   But I am going to miss Simpsonville. My last day in Simpsonville was pretty great. We went to our friend Cierra's house and invited her and her kids to be baptized.  Her kids said yes but Cierra said she had already been baptized.  So Elder Rose has some work to do lol.  The kids are really excited and they are a lot of fun so I'm excited to see what happens with them.  I also met a guy that went to school at Georgia Southern University and he had a b...

June 17 Hi Everyone, This week was not that exciting.  We had zone conference which was cool and then had interviews with our mission president the next day. Tuesday we blitzed an area. That means that the whole district went to one area and did missionary work there.  So we were only actually in our area for like 2 days.    The two days we actually did work were a lot of fun. We met a nice guy that has been inactive since he was 16 and he is 23 now.   He called us and we went over and talked with him. It was really cool cause he had realized that he was unhappy with the world and wanted to get back into church. We invited him to church but he didn't come.  Too bad because I gave a great talk so he missed out. ha!   I was asked to speak on Sunday and I shouted out my Dad of course and talked about listening to the Lord's path and not the world's.   Dec 16 Hi everyone,   This week I got transfered!  I am back out of Georgia and now in Orangeburg South Carolina! It's a blast here! It is a lot like my first area Statesboro. We drive through cotton fields all day and knock trailers! It's the best. Everyone down here is really southern and it is really fun. I have a new really cool companion named Elder Sellers and he is 4 months out so it's fun teaching him some things. But it was a great week. Transfers was a lot of fun and the ward here is great.
